08/08/2011 Labors of Ahwaz’s sugar cube protested in front of the governor’s office because they have not gotten any wages and other benefits for ten months. Witnesses said that the protesters will continue their protest till their wages are paid.
07/08/2011 According to Iran worker’s reports at about 90 percent of manufactories of “ILAM Province” have been closed since the Iranian president’s policies got started. Iran worker believes that after cutting the subsidies many of those manufactories met crisis.
ILNA, news agency said that METAK’s employer has fired fifty labors out. Those discharged labors have sent a letter to the president’s office to protest their employer’s decision. ILNA continued that nothing has been done regarding the labors’ protest so far.
03/08/2011 On the basis of received news, management of the Abadan’s refinery has announced that labors of this refinery are supposed to work more than eight hours! This news added that the Abadan refinery’s management will not pay labors overtime. We also have been informed that if the Abadan refinery’s workers refuse the new rule, they won’t get paychecks.
This city’s cab drivers have gone on strike, reports said on Wednesday 3, 2011. These cab drivers do not agree with increasing the “gas prices”. The strikers are going to maintain their protests within the next days, witnesses said.
Four manufactories were shut down because of maintaining the economic crisis in the country, news said on August 1, 2011. These closed manufactories are located in the city of ARDESTAN. According to news, whole labors of these manufactories that have been unemployed are having financial difficulties.
05/08/2011 According to received news, hawkers of the above-mentioned city clashed with municipality’s officers on August 5th, 2011. This news says that it’s been two weeks that the city hall’s officers bother hawkers and other businessmen.
01/08/2011 We have got a report which says: a social activist named FARZAD HAGHSHENAS has been arrested by the regime security forces. This report adds that no one has any information about FARZAD’S condition after 75 days. This guy is from the city of MARIWAN.
Employers of a manufactory, news said, blackmailed their workers to discharge. That manufactory’s employees have been striking for two weeks. These labors have requested paying delayed wages, getting health insurance and other benefits. It’s said that no one pays attention to the strikers' demands.
Mr. REZA SHAHABI, worker activist, has been in jail for fourteen months. His spouse Mrs. ROBABEH REZAI says that she has been trying to consistency case of his husband but she has not gotten result. She adds that she has seen the Iranian authorities such as Tehran's attorney general and asked them to release her husband.
Two worker activists in the names of YADOLLAH GHOTBI and VAFA GHADERI were supposed to pay fine, news said on 28th of July. The two worker activists have been accused of illegal activities by the regime judicial system! We have to say that YADOLLAH GHOTBI and VAFA GHADERI had been arrested one day before the International Labor Day.
“IRAN KARGAR’S Site” reports that at about 1500 labors, who are working for a farm named ESFAHANAK, would be unemployed. It’s said that ESFAHANAK is the biggest farm in “Esfahan Province” which might be closed because of financial problems.
27/07/2011 Labors of “Iran Tractor Manufacturing”, brought to an end their strike after 4 days, reports said on Wednesday. According to report of a news agency called “ISNA”, the Iranian authorities, president of association of employers and the manufactory’s managers had negotiated with the labors’ representatives during that strike. It’s said, some promises such as formal hiring, have been given the manufactory’s labors.
A news agency named “HERANA” says that more than one million children work in Iran. All of these kids and teenagers are no longer going to school, HERANA adds. These Iranian young workers have no any benefits and their salaries are a few times under minimum wages which is about $ 330.00 per month.
On Monday 25, 2011, labors of “Ahwaz city hall” gathered in front of the governor’s office of “Khuzestan Province” to protest unpaid wages. Those labors have not gotten any wages for four months. The Iranian news agencies say that these labors have met financial difficulties. |
